Three Phases of Sustain Weight Loss Solution

 

Phase 1

To be followed until your weight loss goal is achieved

  • 3 Sustain protein foods throughout the day
  • 1 whole protein of your choice (chicken, beef, fish or eggs) at one meal
  • Four cups of vegetables (two 2-cup servings)
  • Unlimited lettuce
  • 64 oz. water
  • Sustain vitamins and minerals
  • 1-2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
  • Optional: 1 additional non-restricted Sustain protein food   

 

Example:

 

Breakfast
Sustain bacon and cheese omelet
Coffee/tea

 

Lunch
Sustain cream of chicken soup
2 cups vegetables
Unlimited lettuce

 

Dinner
Protein of your choice (chicken, beef, fish or eggs)
2 cups of vegetables
Unlimited lettuce

Snack
Snack #1 (i.e. Sustain smoothie)
Snack #2 (optional - i.e. Sustain jello)


Phase 2

For two weeks you gradually reintroduce healthy carbohydrates (whole grains, dairy, and fruit) back into your diet, in the morning only.  This helps to prevent elevated insulin levels in response to carbohydrates.

 

Whole protein of your choice, at all three meals
Whole grains, dairy and fruit at breakfast only
1 Sustain protein food for snack
Four cups of vegetables (two 2-cup servings)
Unlimited lettuce
64 oz. water
Sustain vitamins and minerals

1-2 Teaspoons Olive Oil

Breakfast
Egg
Whole grain English muffin w/ butter
Blueberries

 

Lunch
Whole protein of your choice (chicken, beef, fish or eggs)
2 cups vegetables
Unlimited lettuce

 

Dinner
Whole protein of your choice (chicken, beef, fish or eggs)

Unlimited vegetables

Snack
Snack #1 Sustain protein food of your choice


Phase 3

Maintenance

All foods including whole grains, dairy and fruit are back into your diet and you are making your own food choices based on our recommendations. No foods are completely forbidden.

 

We stress the importance of keeping lean proteins and vegetables as the main sources of your on-going daily intake along with keeping the amount of carbohydrates low.
